Life is all around us, be it up in the sky, the mountain tops, the trees, on land or in the water. Life is everywhere. Yet unfortunately all is not colorful roses, blue skies and peaceful all the time. Tension, corruption and hate surrounds us each and every day. So things like bullying and hatred tend to cloud our happiness at times. Take young Zeth for example a young man who grew up among respectful hard working miners in his family. One of the top students in his class was often bullied and terrorized by his classmates. His surroundings let alone his life experiences made him into a humble, intelligent, creative yet timid young man. Just after graduating high school like his father and his grandfather, Zeth went on to work in mining. One day while deep in the mines a glimmering light deep in the tunnel caught his attention. Zeth felt this uncontrollable curiosity and had to get to see the source of this distant light. “Just a few more feet to go, it looks like some kind of lantern”; he exclaimed. Suddenly a large explosions thrusted him towards the light knocking him unconscious. Upon awaking he saw a silhouette of a lady. “Where am I”…said Zeth. “You’re in Tephrasuvius” said the lady. “Who are you and why do I feel so different?” asked Zeth “My name is Lady Joplin.” “You see you are not were you where when this all happened to you.” Zeth’s world was about to do a 360 with a triple summersault. It turns out an effusive eruption took place from below the earths surface causing the explosion that took him out. All Zeth remembers is the glowing lantern. According to Lady Joplin this lantern is what saved him from dying that day some 324 years ago. Lady Joplin has been at his side for as long as he’s been unconscious. Making sure he was safe until his awakening. This couldn’t be Zeth was not only still alive but was living in another era. As Lady Joplin handed Zeth the lantern she said this is your life source, which must be kept with you at all times. Through this magical lantern you will accomplish what ever you set out to do. Zeth finally got to see his reflection through the glimmering jewels and stones that lined the walls of the cave they were in. Because of the explosion his body was damaged but his soul remained intact. After being transformed and healed through the lanterns power. Zeth became healer and hero to all those who dwelled underground. Through the years Zeth got to know each and every corner as well as each and everyone living in this underworld called Tephrasuvius. Like him others became victims of the evil bullying of those that lived above ground a sought refuse underground. He welcomed all those into his world. He taught them that what matters is what you feel is right, and that anyone who opposes that has no feelings and has been misguided. That is up to us to build up our self esteems and create a force field to block bullying and then go back and face it, correct it and end it. Zeth went up to the surface from time to time but was only able to go out during the night as the sunlight would not allow him to see as clearly. Words can’t express his love and admiration for her so he leaves no stone unturned looking for the most beautiful and priceless gems to give to her.
